A natural / a organic compound " A " with formula C5H8O2 will be reduced to n-pentane when treated with zinc / mercury amalgam, " A " will form adduct with hydroxylamine and will give a positive Iodoform test and Tollen's test.
When Iodoform test takes place , sodium butanoate will form
