Dear Student,
a. These mixes of the Capacitance series can be in arrangement (in which numerous capacitors can be found along a similar way of wire) and in parallel (in which various capacitors can be found along various ways of wire).

b. Total capacitance for a circuit including a few capacitors in parallel (and none in arrangement) can be found by just summing the individual capacitances of every individual capacitor .

Capacitors with Dielectrics

a. A dielectric in part contradicts a capacitor's electric field yet can expand capacitance and keep the capacitor's plates from touching.

b. The part close to the positive end of the capacitor will have an overabundance of negative charge, and the part close to the negative end of the capacitor will have an abundance of positive charge .

c. On the other hand, the dielectric keeps the plates of the capacitor from coming into coordinate contact (which would render the capacitor pointless).

d The capacitance for a parallel-plate capacitor is given by:
C = KeA/d.
Cheers!!
