E = 4QL*sin(L/2)/aL

You can get using integration
E = \int_{-L/2}^{L/2}2*dE*cos\Theta
where dE = K*(Q/L)*dx/(a2 + x2)
cos\Theta = a/(a2 + x2)1/2
