Coulombs Law states that the magnitude of the electrostatic force between two point electric charges is directly proportional to the product of the magnitudes of each charge and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges

coulombs law states that when two point charges placed at a small distance apart then electrostatic force of attraction is directly proportional to the product of charges and inversly proportional to square of distance between them.
