why we have to consider vaccum b/w the plates of parallel capacitor while obtaining capacitance?

because if u consider any other medium then it will have any dielectric constant and we have to consider that while deriving the eq. for capacitance of capacitor, so that we r consi doring air b/w them (dielectric constant for air=1)
