In a light bulb connected to an AC source the instantaneous current is zero two times in each cycle of a current. Why does the bulb not glow off during these times of zero current?

it glows off for a very small time so human eye can not detect it. the frequency of AC in india is 50HZ that means in one second the bulb will glow off for 100 times.
