what are the criteria to get admission for B.design at iit guwahathi?is there any other needed than an advanced rank?

Bachelor of Design (B.Des.):Four years ( 8 semesters )
Students are selected for admission to the above programmes through IIT-JEE(Advanced) entrance for IITs. Visit the JEE (Advanced) site for more information on JEE (Advanced).

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
