please recommend a book for organic chemistry. I'm preparing for. JEE advanced and need a book with detailed theory with no concept missing and more of multichoice ques of JEE level. I'm considering 1.Cengage Or.Chem -K.S.verma or 2.arihant-Essential org.chem. by Ranjeet Shahi. pls help making a good choice.

Cengage k.s. Verma is best for physical chemistry not for organic. The best book for organic chemistry is morrison and boyd. Please approve the answer by clicking approved if you liked it.

Shrey, I think that foreign authored books like Morrison Boyd are rich in theory (more than jee level also) but lack jee pattern objective ques and solved examples. Also topics are mixed in confusing way diff. From what we study. I`ve never been through Morrison, but I`m saying on the basis of Solomons, which I found useless for me. Tell me if I`m wrong.

You are right but you should have specified this that you need objective questions. Try o.p.tandon for theory and p.bahadur for numericals.

if you want a detailed mechanism and good concepts you can refer organic chemistry by jerry march.

Use NCERT for concepts. That has most of the things that syllabus for JEE(Adv) has. For questions yu can take arihant

none of the book that you mentioned is good. Instead Arihant is good for problem solving but for theory you should prefer some foreign writers book example paula bruice (very bulky book) or solomon if you don`t find the useful then look for morrison boyd
