hello harshitha thanks 4 d ques.
we can write the eqn as
4s^2 + 1/s^2 + t^2 + 1/t^2= 6 where s= sinx and t= tanx
or (4s^2 + 1/s^2 – 4) + ( t^2 + 1/t^2 – 2)= 0
(2s – 1/s)^2 + (t – 1/t)^2= 0
since the sum of 2 squares can be zero IFF both of them are zero, so
2s – 1/s= 0 and t – 1/t= 0
or s^2= ½ and t^2= 1 or s^2/c^2= 1 or s^2= c^2 or 2s^2= 1 or s^2= ½
so, both the conditions give us the same result:
s^2= ½
or sin^2x= sin^2(pi/4)
or x= npi ± pi/4
option 1
kindly approve :)
