Nirma or iiits... which is better ? Support ur answer...

The answer is of courseIIIT- Vadodara. Following are the reasons for my thinking:

IIIT-V offers CSE while Nirma offers CE (Comp. Engineering) and there is quite a lot difference between the both.
Course curriculum of IIIT-V is great(although rigorous) and parallel to that of IIIT-H offering core courses from the 1st year itself unlike other colleges where students are exposed to mainstream engineering subjects only.
A good coding culture persists in IIIT-V. Many students here are involved in competitive coding on sites like hackerrank, codechef etc. Also, 6 students have been selected for GSoC this year from IIIT-V which is quite awesome. No such background is available at Nirma.
The professors here are quite qualified and supportive with most of them being Phd’s from good institutes.
Since Daiict is the mentor institute of IIIT-V, students here enjoy privileges of 2 colleges, with many faculties visiting from Daiict.
Technical workshops are conducted regularly in IIIT-V which offer students a chance to explore the various areas of CSE.
Hostel and mess facilities in IIIT-V are far better than those provided by other colleges.
The placement status is also quite good in IIIT-V. Students here have been offered internships from Atos, TCS, IIT’s etc. and campus placements have been quite good considering the fact that it was the first batch.
Co- curricular activities are a bit less in IIIT-V but students here have performed really great in sports competitions in-spite of being devoid of proper sports grounds.
Although IIIT-V doesn’t have its own permanent campus but the current facility is quite good and fulfills most requirements including good AC labs and classrooms. Also, the work for construction of permanent campus is taking place on a good pace.

Overall, I would say IIIT-V is far better that Nirma for CSE because it is a national institute while Nirma is a local one and is effectively a “modified school” (as per my friends studying there). Also, trust me the “IIIT” tag matters a lot.
