Or any other branch I should consider that you might be knowing?
Which of the above IITs have a liberal Branch Change policy?

You might not be able to good branch at any of old IIT, you may get admission in less popular branch , adn then can try for branch change to mech after first year, or take good branch at new IITs., all IITs has a branch change option after first year.
