i want to do b.tech(machenical) then what type of exam i have to pass for it ?

For Government Reputed Colleges you have to qualify JEE-Mains and for getting into IIT’s(the best Institute) you have to clear JEE_Advance as well.
There are many state level exams and reputed private college engineering exams also

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
