I tried solving this question by applying conservation of momentum. Like this, speed=20/5=4m/s So,(v1+4)40+(-v2+4)40=0 But,i am getting wrong answer! Please answer this question and also tell me where i was doing wrong.

the final velocity of system = 20/5 = 4m/s
total final momentum = (40+40+20)*4 = 400kg.m/s
V1(wrt ground) = V1+4
V2 (wrt groung) =   V2-4
initial momentum = final momentum
40*V1-40*V2 = 400kg.m/s
 V1-V2 = 10.
Solve about COM.
