i have heard that students who had completed Ph.D but they don’t get Ph.D DEGREE BECAUSE THE PROFESSORS WHO HAVE TO GIVE DEGREE …..ARE TELLING TO STUDENTS THAT ...IF YOU WANT DEGREE THEN GIVE DONATIONS.....ONLY TO SIGN IN DEGREE ,THEY ARE ASKING HUGE AMOUNT OF DONATIONS...I FEEL THAT THIS IS NOT FAIR.?WHAT CAN WE DO IF SO ?

in good college they have strong term and conditions for taking donation . 
professors cannot take donations of their own . 
but in case of small college , i cannotr say much . so, try to enroll in a good institute for p.hd degree . 
then you will end up getting degree without paying hectic amount .
