Discuss with colleagues and IITians

I am very much thanful to askiitians help in clearing the doubts of us regarding issues related to iit jee admission. Still I have a question Most of the faculty of askiitians says that old iits are better than new once (and this is true also) in terems of job security and infrastructure. Does this mean that one should preferer to Join IIT Bombay in metallurgy instead of CSE in IIT roper. Also as for as interest of subject is concerned I feel that it is too early for prospective students to select the subject of his or her interest just after intermediate. My question becomes too long but still I have to decide where to join as I may not get good brances in old iits as my rank will not be so good.

My suggestion to you is that if you really wanna go in the technical line job, you should go to IIT Ropar. But if you are really enthusiastic about getting into extracircular activities rather than pure technican study, then you should go to old IITs.
Good Luck!
