How are the books `Universal self scorer` for JEE-Advance?

Universal self scorer is a decent book for self studying because it contains various types/ lots of questions with solutions.

but its doesn't contain proper theory/explanation/derivation and all so .. for understanding the concepts its not good..( for JEE Advance) .. Arihant publication is better for concepts.

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
