Dear JV Bhargav,

Mechanics is equally important as other branches of physics, including the ones you mentioned. Every examination like JEE, AIEEE, BITSAT and others contain considerable weightage of marks in mechanics.

Many people find difficulty in this portion, mainly in rotational mechanics. If you're weak in Mechanics, I would like to suggest you two things.

Firstly, get a good hold on the rest of the topics you mentioned like electricity, optics, waves & modern physics. You should be able to answer almost all the questions asked from these chapters in the exam.

Secondly, try solving the easiest of questions in mechanics at least. Once you do this, you can try a little advanced problems if you've got time. Otherwise leave the topic. If any easy question comes in the exam, you'll still be able to do it.

Please feel free to post as many doubts on our discussion forum as you can. If you find any question
Difficult to understand - post it here and we will get you the answer and detailed solution very quickly. We
are all IITians and here to help you in your IIT JEE preparation.

All the best!!!
