I am studying in 12th std.(CBSE). I have a lot of interest to pursue pure science, in particular astrophysics. I came to know that IISc is the best college for that. Also I came to know that it offers a BS degree for 4 yrs and an integrated MS-Phd course for 7 yrs. So is this the best course available for my interests? or am i misinformed about the program?

yes, it is best for your interest. this course needs a good research facility, labs and other facilities. High level of intelligence, Mathematical ability, research skill and computer proficiency are some of the personal qualities required for a career in Space Sciences/Research.
