I want to become an astrophysist. Where to study astrophysics in India ?If I take ECE engineering, can I further study astrophysics .

IITs are the best place to study for where else. Yes you can switch in masters if you want to go for astrophysics. If not IITs you can go for presidency college or some other college of repute which have theoretica physics as a course

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
