I am getting metallurgy in NIT rourkela. If I take admission in NIt this year then can I sit for JEE MAIN and JEE ADVANCED next year ? If I sit and qualify IITJEE then can I leave the NIT and go to the IIT ? Suppose I get a better NIT next time and not IIT then can I leave the current NIT and go to that NIT? Please help me...i am really confused about this

Hi Agnivesh,

You can either drop and prepare for next one year for IIT JEE or you can continue NIT and still can appear for IIT/NIT. Second option can be difficult since you have to study engineering courses as well as prepare for IIT/NIT. I suggest you to drop and go for JEE next year.

thanx...atleast i have someone on my side...all of my teachers, friends and my parents want me join NIT .....but i simply dont want to read metallurgy.......one more question......suppose i take admission this year and still prepare and next time i get a better NIT with my choice branch but fail to qualify IIT then will I be able to leave this NIT and go there?????

pls anwer this question....i am really worried about this thing
