One of my tutors was saying that the preparation for iit from beginning shud nt be dne. one shud concentarate on theory and acedamics initially and at the end of the year think abt entrance test. Is she right?

I have a little different view
U should start ur prep ryt after ur 10th boards 
It helps a lot  believe me..
i will be giving jee this year so i certainly have some experience
When u start early u will b ahead of ur frnds and dat gives a lot of confidence
And then at the end u will have loads of time for revision
So start early..it helps a lot..
bt at the initial stages u should concentrate at understanding the concepts deeply
otherwise u may suffer at last
So whenver u have any doubt just clear it straightaway
saying this from experience

I think there should be exact direction to the IIT preparation right from the begining. More focused you are, better the chance of success.
