Do we have weightage of Intermediate state board exams for IIT rankings.? If it is so, only the optional subjects are taken into consideration or all the subjects of both the yers..?

No, for ur IIT ranking there will be no weightage of intermediate state board. ur ranking will be purely based on ur JEE ADVANCE marks if get selected for that. And u should be in top 20% student of ur respective board.

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
