sir please tell me that if we have to find the difference like difference in velocity etc (any vector quantity ) should we find it by taking magnitude of vector quantities or we must consider their components ???

if you are asked to find the difference in velocity.then you need to find the difference in velocity vector

not the difference of there magnitude inless untill it is mention to find the difference in their magnitude

 

Example  :

V1 =2i +3j+4k

V2 =4i+5j+ 5k

 

then difference is V2-V1 =2i +2j+k
