did you guys really study for 10 - 12 hours to get into iit????and are the local books enough for olympiads??

yes,you really need to study about 10-14 hrs a day not only on the basis of quantity only but also on the basis of quality if you are a serious aspirant and want to get a good rank atleast in IIT-JEE.

in my opinion,local books are enough.Besides this you may require practice for this examination.

Are core branches(Mechanical) in Top 3 NIT worth it ?

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
