Which is better and what is the difference between Electronics and Electrical Engineering in IIT Kharagpur.

electronics will specialize you particularly in matters related to micro levels of circuitry which is there in electronics items and some other topics as waves and communication systems whereas electrical is sort of a mother branch for elctronics engineering involving macro level circuitry as in house wiring and various electrical machines though it will cover all the basic topics of the electronics engineering too...actually in all foreign and IVY league universities there is only one branch as electrical and electronics engineering .there is hardly any separate electronics branch...so i prefer you to go for electrical engineering considering your future prospects for ms or mtech... please approve the comment if it helped you
