Q. Suppose two houses in a thousand catch fire in a year and there are 2000 houses in a village. what is the probability that
(i) none of the houses catch fire
(ii) at least one house catch fire?

probability of catching of fire = 2/2000.

probability of not catching of fire=1- 2/2000 = 999/1000

probability of atleast one house catching fire = 1 - probability of not catching of fire = 1-999/1000 = 1/1000.

it should be 4/2000
