sir am shrutika.i have secured 518 score in gate 2012(EC)and my rank is 3955.do i stand any chance of getting a mtech seat in the nits???.i plan to apply in te following nits.

1.suratkal 2.trichi 3.warangal 4.calicut 5.jaipur 6.allahabad

7.bhopal 8.jamshedpur 9.kurukshetra 10.patna 11.nagpur

12.surat 13.rourkela

could you kindly list these nits in order of preference so that i can fill in the choices accordingly in the ccmt 2012 application form.

i would also like to ask if going to a private institute like thapar or pec will be better as compared to one of the nits with a lowr ranking???
