Here is the list of New IITs which has been proposed by the government and it has started functioning from 2011.

Only limited branches are offered in the new IITs as on 2012 plans and they are:

IIT Bhuvaneshwar (under IIT Kharagpur):
Branches offered: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Gandinagar (under IIT Mumbai)
Branches offered: Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Hyderabad (under IIT Madras) :
Branches offered: Computers, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Indore (under IIT Bombay) :
Branches offered: Computers, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Kota (under IIT Kanpur) :
Branches offered: Computers, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Mandi (HP) (under IIT Roorkee):
Branches offered: Computers, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Patna (under IIT Guwahati):
Branches offered: Computers, Electrical, Mechanical

IIT Ropar (under IIT Delhi):

sir, i wanted information on progress. theirs ranking course wise. whether all have got theirs own building.

IIT in rajasthan is at Jodhpur not in kota. presently it is running from MBM college. new campus may take another 2-3 yrs
