I am not clearing IIT JEE 2012. but i really want to study CSE @ IIT. So is it a good idea to drop this year (2012) and aim for IIT-JEE 2013 or Common Test next year?? i am seeking a for valuable and professional advice. Pls help.

No No dont drop the year. Even I aint getting good marks in JEE but I wouldnt even think of dropping.

Instead concentrate on other exams like AIEEE and BITS. Its not that they are bad. What more, checkout the college rankings and youll find that DTU, BITS,NIT,etc. are among the top 15 colleges in India. Dont always let your heart make your decisions, use your brains too.

if you have got atleast 70 marks in iit

then you can drill for the next

if you have solved the questions which you know honestly & they are correct then you can try for

if you hawe a bad habbit of guessing without any concept / reason then you should leave that 1st

try to read the iist syllabus 2 times deeper than expected

you can crack itt next year
