hello sir, i m a first yr student and i m having civil branch in dce . i have sc quota. along with it i studied for iit . due to which i got 3 backs in 1st semester and 4 detentions in 2nd sem. and i havent listened to any of the lecture of 2nd semester. i was thing that i should give aieee exam again and get an admission in nit and do serious studies there. is it a right option ? plz reply. i m in a big trouble

well your condition is no doubt  very serious and definitely your academic performance matters a lot after you complete your degree and start with your profession. My true suggestion would be that take AIEEE again. If u can get any of the top 5 NITs then only you should leave DCE (because it is also a good enough college no less than NITs), else try to improve your acad record in DCE itself because its never too late.
