Sir,

can a person write iit-jee and also appear for other engineering entrances,if a person was preparing for iit and if he does not get it can he try other engineering entrances will there be any disadvantage for as he prepared for iit.

yes u can appear for any number of exams. the thing that matters is that iit jee has some less syllabus than others but this particular syllabus requires a lot of understanding.
