i want to be a software engineer . iwant to ask whether it is necessary to take computer science as a 5th subject in 11th and 12th to pursue btech in CS. AsPHE is a scoring subject, i can improve my marks in 12th boards.i will do a 1month course in CS covering 11th and 12th syllabus after 12th. Is such a thing possible??

it will be ok either way...... but i suggest you to take cs in 12th so that you will become much acquainted with computer environment....... your technical skills also will be developed easily.....

My rank in JEE Advanced 2022 is 1871. Should I go for IIT Guwahati ECE or IIT Kanpur Mechanical and try for a branch change to CS or Electrical Engineering? Is changing your branch very difficult?
