In a rectangular cube hollow space filled with 12mm dia metal balls ,then from upper part of cube 1000degree cent. air is flowing and sucked from the lower part of cube from 8-9mm dia holes. the outlet temprature of air is 200 degree cent. then tell me its a convection process or conduction process if its convection then tell me what area i prefer for balls.regardssonu

The process mentioned in the above question is a conduction process because of the fact that metal balls are present and the metals follow conduction process the role of the air used is just to act as an insulator and not as heat sink or source.
