These rules are very much Question Dependent. There are no general specific set of rules to find factors without expanding the determinant.

Very broadly, to say, we can apply Row/Column Transformations to find the factors.

it is some logic based and if u not want to expand it u should practise some more so thst matrices will be on ur mind calculation..........
