My teacher in my coaching institute suugested that to clear IIT JEE with a very good rank, you should be able to frame questions in any topic that you study.

Doing this in Chemsistry (Organic and Inorganic is easy). But when i tried to frame questions in Maths and Physics and shared with my firends, they solved it very easily and told me that it was not of IIT standard.

Please tell me will this approach work. And also suggest how to set difficult questions in physics and maths.

For framing a good question in Physics, you should have very good base of fundamentals (clear on all concpets). So your teacher must have suggested this, so that when you try to frame a question your thought process increases multiple fold, while also you get to know your concepts better.

And in Maths, to frame questions you should have tremendous practice and command over a chapter. So while framing questions again, all your previous practice experience comes into picture.

So saying, trying to frame a good question, would invaribaly mean building strong concepts, and practicing a lot and also increase your thought process. So this is good strategy to adopt in case you are comfortable in solving questions/problems on your own.

And finally one word, don't get demoralies when some one solves questions easily set by you. 25-30% of IIT JEE questions are easy and would be of a very easy level of 12th Standard.
