I would say that you have to weigh the actual costs and opportunity costs of completing an MBA with the potential salary increase that you would get by actually having an MBA. If you would apply for a job that doesn't require an MBA - I would say that the opportunity costs for completing an MBA full time is not realistic. If possible complete part time. I hate marketing and would never recommend that. If you plan on working in the HR field than take HR otherwise I would say that Finance professionals with IT experience get paid far more than an HR or Marketing person. Unless you like programming Web Sites and focusing on e-commerce - then a marketing specialization would definitely help.
