Grade 12th PassDiscuss with colleagues and IITians

I am a repeater, and will appear for JEE 2012. Time is rather limited. As a result I have resorted to Arihant Textbooks in physics(by DC pandey) as textbook, since in these books theory is concise, all the results necessary are derived and explained(all the ones which are typically taught at coaching institutes) as well as the fact that the way it approaches the task of building problem solving skill of the student in a systematic manner in terms of topics as well as difficulty. But the professors in my institute insist on the importance of books like HC Verma etc. while many have expressed their reservations about Arihant. I want to ask that will following Arihant cause problems later on, conceptual or otherwise?I myself havent yet faced any such difficulty till date. But I still wanted to make sure. So please guide me.

Hey Gaurab!

For conceptual understanding HCV is necessary so i would recommend it for concept clarity. Arihant is also quite good for sums so follow tat for sums.
