OR

MECHENICAL ENGENEERING NIT SURATHKAL

go for mechanical in NIT surathkal

 go for iit kharagpur as u wu

ill be called iitian.................................................................

u should absolutely take m.sc economics at iit kharagpur as the first placed batch had a average package of 8-9 lakhs and highest of 17 lakhs. also iit kharagpur isthe best engg. college of india

i think mech nit surathkal is best.since no branch changes 4 economics.again u can study M.tech in iits or iims

if u want an iitian name so badly then choose iit otherwise go for nit surathlkal as msc has a lower reputation than btech

go for nit surathkal.... 

i've a strong reason fr my opinion 

1stly u r a non med student it would be little difficult for u to pursue economics

2nd if u opt fr mechanical engg. at nit surathkal then u would have better oppurtunities and more open options ... means u cn do mtech in astronomical engg.,aeronautical engg,automobile engg. and so on.... while in msc economics ur field of work would be limited
