Hi Parag,

[ x ] is a no. which is an integer nearer to x and smaller than x.

So [ 2.5 ] = 2, Since 2 and 3 are nearer to 2.5, but as 2 is smaller so [ 2.5 ] =2.

Hence, (a) is correct
