i want to ask the present students of the new iits what the feel abt their college.

i m not in ny of these new iits but i hav a friend there..

And they say dont come over here its nt gud at all

Firstly iitians of old iits( where they are) look down upon them..

Make fun of them

They have toi live in dormatries...

I would advice dont go there

New IIT's good or bad a question asked by many at least to me as i study in one myself.....I will give you some examples then approve yourself.....I study in IIT Ropar Electrical....I know we had to face many problems initially lack of infrastructure and faculty being the most prominent....But now most of the things have fallen into the right place and we are getting better day by day...This year many of our third year students landed up with internships in companies like Microsoft ,Hero Honda and Nokia seimens network and five of them got foreign internships and went to London....The faculty  is upto the standard of old IIT's.......Also in some cases we are better than old IIt's as the students are less the management is easy and grievances are sorted out in less time....The examination system has no loopholes and it is carried out very efficiently and ammendments are carried out in a nicer way...We organize various cultural activities from time to time and last year we organized our cultural festival successfully...So its upto you if you want a core branch dont think its Old or new because till you will graduate these IIT's would have gained much reputation  and the placements will not be a huge problem....

I am student of iit bhubneswar its been a great and hard journey for me iits are actually culture thing and we are building our own culture not following the uproot culture grooming what new iitians are getting i bet u will not get it everywhere also being a part of almost every activity has its owm taste what you might not get in old iit within first few year may get it in your last year but new iits are certainly iit
