my rank in isat is 1217 ( gen ), i would like to know whether i have got a realistic chance of getting an avionics or an aerospace engg seat @ iist,, why have they selected 4799 candidates when they can only occupy 79 ?

Dear Parth, If ur physics marks r good enough, then u r under 79!!!!!!   They  want pure engenniers, so they take 4799, & then select good physicists!!!!!!! Ur chances r good!!!!!!
