Do companies offer higher starting salaries to computer engineers in comparison to software engineers?

Fresh Computer engineers  get higher packages( range 5-9 lakhs CTC/annum) which is more than fresh sofware engineers.

Now-a-days any engineering graduate can work as software enginner in many IT companies where salary ranges from 3-5 lakhs CTC/annum
