i am using o p tandon. how do i need to study the book exactly? its not possible to learn like a parrot, and even if i do, it won't do any good.

 U should do as much variety of que. as u can , & more emphasis should be given on clearing concepts, by learning & reading detailed theory!!!!!  There r many exceptions in chem. , which u have to cram!!!!!!!!
