Take 12 o clock time as reference i.e when both the hands are at 12.
hour hand move 300 in one hour and 600 in two hour
now here 20 min extra that is one third hour extra in one third hour hour hand will move 30/3=100
hence at 2.20 hour hand will make angle 60+10=700 with 12 o clock line
now for minute hand
minute hand move 3600 in one hour that is 60 min
it will move 360/3=1200 in 20 minute
hence angle between both hand will be 120-70=500
