i want to ask if a helicopter is kept stationary in the atmosphere of earth. will it change it's position in respect to a viewer of earth. as earth is rotating and when a helicopter or any object is kept stationary in it's atmosphere then it should change it's position with respect to a viewer of earth . as viewer is in motion and helicopter is in rest. so will the position change of helicopter? i want to ask if a helicopter is kept stationary in the atmosphere of earth. will it change it's position in respect to a viewer of earth. as earth is rotating and when a helicopter or any object is kept stationary in it's atmosphere then it should change it's position with respect to a viewer of earth . as viewer is in motion and helicopter is in rest. so will the position change of helicopter?
Dear Harsh newton's law is applicable only for inertial frame that is non accelerating frame. earth is in rotation so it is moving with some acceleration that is equal to v2/Re. this value is very small as Re=6400km is very big. so we dont feel the effect of rotation of earth and we need not apply pseudo force for it and we can assume earth as a inertial frame of reference.thats why we cant see the change in position of any object due to rotation of earth. thanx for this, bt i want 2 ask will it be changing it's position in respect to a viewer from space? and please tell me how much time earth takes to rotate about it's axis means to complete one revolution about it's axis and what is it's speed of rotation?
