magnetic moment = (n(n+2))1/2
magnetic moment for Crx+ = (15)1/2
n(n+2)= 15
n =3
so there are 3 unpaired electrons in Crx+ , this is possible for Cr3+ ...
Cr = Ar, 4s1, 3d5
Cr3+ = Ar , 4s0 ,3d3 (three unpaired electron)
