what is the meaning and significance of mass per unit lenth length per unit like these ets something like these in determining the center of mass of things and in my coaching they teach me how to find the the center of mass but i m not able to understand is finding center of mass of things important? i m only want to learn center of mass and dont want to understand how it comes rply soon

The significance is that , using the mass per unit length you can find the mass of any tiny section on the entire lenght.Apply forces to these masses and obtain the required solution over the entire mass by integrating.These thinga make it easier and simple to solve.Centre of mass is not that important .But you never know, some big questions can be linked to centre of mass and can be asked in the exam.Just know how to obtain centre of mass and deep understanding is not required.
