Is there any need to study before joining IIT's ,if yes inform me about books . For your kind information I am alloted a seat in B-tech in IIT Kanpur in CSE.

Congrats for your selection . You have studied your part for JEE, and thats what is needed to get into IITs and survive there. In your first year u'll be doing the basic courses of physics , maths and chem , and u have got ample tym during the semester to study for that. so enjoy ur vacations rt now, coz after a month the mugging starts again.
