You are an eligible candidate for applying in RGIPT as their requirements are that one should be IIT-JEE 2009 Qualified (Common Merit List & Extended Merit List) and Minimum 60% in aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 10 and in Class 12. So if you got more than 60% marks in your 10th & 12 th exams then you must apply for admission there.
Regarding your query for courses i will suggest you to take btech in petrol refining engg. as improvement in refining technique is the most challenging thing ahead in the near future and companies are investing a lot in this field . So for a good carrier you can prefer this over the other because it is slightly better than the other course
And about salary thing ,i will tell you that you must not worry about that as petrol companies usually give good packages to engg.
