Dear murthy,

Nearly 4.72 Lakhs of students through India have appeared for the IIT JEE 2010 and among them only 13,104 students have got qualified. From Andhra Pradesh 50,000 students have appeared for IIT JEE 2010 among them 1,500 students got qualified this competitive exam. This year to fill the 9,509 seat in the 15 IITs Web based counseling has been started and also the Extended Merit List is not announced. This is the cause for this pathetic Situation.

Naturally the students who gets seat in IITs wants to get a good branch, some of the students think that getting in to the IITs is a great issue and they didn’t think about the Branch. But this year IIT JEE Counseling has ended with 2 rounds so some of the students joined in IITs for the Branch of their choice, some had chosen other options and some other students got compromised though they didn’t get the branch of their choice. As the IIT JEE Directors didn’t announce for another round counseling or Extended Merit List as per the New rules Lots of the Qualified students lost the chance of getting in to their dream institutes. Nearly 20% of seats are vacant means these rules have made 2000 qualified students not getting in to the IITs. These seats will be reamin unfilled as the New IITs didn’t have some basic facilities even.

We are all IITians and here to help you in your IIT JEE preparation.

All the best.
